Reflection Task 1b
Hi everyone! Today
I want to mention my best mate, Tolga YILMAZ. I guess, I can’t think of anyone but Tolga
when I try to find a person who is not famous but I think should be. He is
the embodiment of determination and success. So, I asked him for an interview
in order to share with you and he gladly accepted. He was born on March 21st,
1995, in Havza. During his childhood he was always a good son to his parents, and mean to
his cousins. He went to Mehmet Öngel Primary School and he was really
successful there. His teachers liked him very much but his friends’ feelings
were quite the opposite. I don't know whether that was because he was taller
than all his friends or because he was more successful than all of them put
together. His parents and relatives always wanted him to be a doctor but his
interest was mainly in English and other foreign languages so he ignored their
wishes. As to his high school years, we were in the same school: Amasya
Anatolian Teacher Training High School. He was very successful in high school
too, scoring an average of 98 points in all of his English exams. He was ambitious, he still is. He succeeded in all his
goals in high school, too. There was nothing he wanted but wasn't able to do.
He always urged me to study but I'm a lazy person so I never studied as much as
he wanted. His latest goal was to enter Boğaziçi University and again he
succeeded. Except his accomplishments, he was always a good friend. He built
morale to me when I was feeling down. He was helpful and sincere. He has a good
sense of humour and his ability to comment is superb. He has a wide general knowledge.
Being an high achiever, he never wanted
a modest life; he always wanted the best, which is why I believe he deserves to
be famous. He studies Translating and Interpreting Studies in Boğaziçi
University at the moment and wants to be the best at his job in the future. Surely
that’s something that any one of us desire, but I'm sure he will succeed in
this, too.
Hi Elif,
YanıtlaSilI like your reflection and appreciate that you'd rather choose your friend to introduce. I like your writing style and there is almost no fault. However, I think you should pay attention to punctuation and capital letters. Moreover, I admire you, while I'm reading your reaction, because so few people have friendship as you have. I hope your friendship will never end and go on forever.
All the best!
